Getting Ready for Your Session

As we run on tank water, if your dog hasn't had a wash for a bit or is dirty, you will need to wash them at home before coming for your session at least 2-3 days before.  Please try and brush regularly moulting hair dogs, I do however understand dogs’ moult.   

Such as grooming sprays, oils, grooming chalks, recent use of tropical treatments...

Bring a towel and treats. With your treats, please choose non-crumbly types for example cut up cheese, sausages or prime 100. Avoid dehydrated hard treats.

I will put a harness on your dog unless you have one yourself and prefer to use it. I do not use life jackets in an underwater treadmill.

Please do not feed them a full meal before your session unless they need medication. Please call before you book if you have any questions.

Arrive early to toilet your dog (please pick up after them) and settle them. 

If your dog poos in the underwater treadmill, the treadmill will need to close for a certain amount of time (surcharge will apply ). If you have a faecal incontinent dog, you will need to book the last appointment of the day unless you are able to ensure your dog has pooed prior. Please call before booking if you're unsure of how to proceed. 

Please wait on the nature strip or in your car and I will come to you. Do your best to avoid running late as this will shorten your session time. Please keep our neighbours in mind regarding barking dogs.

Whether it is your dog shaking on you or your shoes getting wet in the post-treatment rinse you give your dog, we suggest you wear your "dog" clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet :) 

All dogs will need a Vet Referral, which will need to reach me at least 48 hours before your appointment. 

K9 Hydro Care is unable to accommodate reschedules within 24 hours of your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours are not eligible for a refund unless there are special circumstances.
